Harding Dad's Club plans activities to improve school

Posted: 11/09/2009
The Harding Dads’ Club, a historic organization that has served Harding for many years is open to all members (moms, grandparents, friends etc.) of the Harding community.

The mission of the Dads’ club is to complete various projects around the Harding campus and support fund raising activities.

The Dads’ Club meets monthly on the second Tuesday at 7 pm in the library.

Emergency Supplies

One of the goals of the Dads’ Club is to replace Harding’s emergency supplies (prepackaged food and water that has reached its expiration date), to make sure the Harding community is ready for an emergency.

Activities

The Dads’ Club hosts clean-up and weeding events to help improve the grounds and garden.

During the summer, members worked to expand the edible garden thanks to a $5,000 grant Harding received from Lowe's for this purpose.

In November, they hosted a pancake breakfast fundraiser at the Solano Grill and Bar to raise money for the Harding emergency supplies fund.
