Giving Back
Posted: 03/20/2008Harding students participate in a variety of activities to support the local community.
-All classrooms collected non-perishable food items for a local soup kitchen in December.
-Harding Student Council organized an effort to collect hats, socks, and gloves for a local homeless shelter during the holidays.
-In December, twenty-one Harding students and families sang holiday carols for the residents of Shield's Nursing Home in El Cerrito. In February, students made and delivered Valentines.
-In March and April, the student council sponsored a "Pennies for
Patients" campaign. Students collected $417.13 to benefit those
suffering from leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood diseases.
