Science at Harding
Posted: 06/17/2007Using a variety of approaches and materials, students are introduced to science concepts beginning in Kindergarten.
Starting in first grade, students receive science enrichment during the regular school day through the Fun in Science program. This program places UC Berkeley students in Harding classrooms to do hands-on science.
Upper grade students are required to complete a science project during the spring term. Lower grade students are encouraged to do one too. Students also participate in study trips to local museums and natural habitats, and attend science assemblies.
The PTA sponsors additional science classes on the Harding campus through the Harding After School Enrichment Program (HASEP).
