Music at Harding
Posted: 07/02/2010Beginning in Kindergarten, every student receives weekly vocal music instruction.
In third grade, students are introduced to sheet music and taught to play the recorder.
Students attending third through 6th grade have the opportunity to learn an instrument in PTA-sponsored band classes.
The PTA also sponsors guitar classes, woodwinds, and recorder classes through the Harding After School Enrichment Program (HASEP). Most classes are eight weeks so it's a great way to try a new instrument. Check the website or visit the City of El Cerrito Rec Department to see which classes are coming up.
